Conferences for Women: Find the Perfect Event at Founders in Real Life
Female entrepreneurs are starting more and more businesses. Today, over 11 million businesses in the U.S. are women-owned. According to Forbes:
On a related note, nearly 70% of all start ups are home-based and the majority continue to be run out of the home over three years later.
That means there’s a whole lot of women starting businesses in their homes. Being a female entrepreneur can be lonely and physically isolating. In a corporate setting, there’s most often built-in, natural opportunities to network, socialize, and communicate with humans in-person, face-to-face. While, as entrepreneurs, we do a lot of work virtually. We often have small teams or no team at all, forcing us to be more intentional about getting together with others.
Technology has its benefits, for sure, but technology will not replace the human touch. Genuine relationships trump technology.
"Technology runs our lives more than ever, but it is relationships that drive business and commerce, so people will find more ways to connect in person to build trust and strengthen connections.”
The industry has answered by creating unique ways for us to get together IN REAL LIFE, get some down time, network, learn important skills, and grow our businesses. Live events are becoming more and more popular across businesses that cater to female entrepreneurs, female founders, women in business, and female creatives.
That’s one problem solved. When we’re feeling lonely and isolated, we know that opportunities exist to get together with other like-minded women. The only problem left is FINDING the RIGHT event.
I’m part of several business or blogging-oriented Facebook groups and I’ve seen the question pop up over and over and over. I’ve even asked, “Hello, can anybody tell me where to find a conference near me so I can see some fellow lady bosses in real life??”. Before creating Founders In Real Life, I felt like all the best conferences were happening 3,000+++ miles away from me. The only way I knew about a conference was if I happened to follow a business owner who hosted an event. I could try my luck asking in Facebook group, which yielded zero to maybe five options. Traditional search engines didn’t quite understand what I was asking for.
I’m a woman with three young children (all boys under the age of 6!). I have house to care for. I have a million business ideas swirling around in my head. I have calls to make and people to meet. I want to go out on date nights with my hubby. I don’t have time to endlessly scour the internet and social media feeds to find all of the available in-person events. I wanted it done for me!
Ironically, I did find time to scour the interwebs and find the events so YOU don’t have to. Like any good entrepreneur, I created my own solution to the problem.
Founders In Real Life is solely dedicated to finding all the amazing conferences for women and other live events happening all over the world.
Here, the events are categorized every way you could ask for. Female entrepreneurs can now go to one place to find the PERFECT event (and it’s totally free)!
